Unplugged

Writer's picture: Isabella CampolattaroIsabella Campolattaro

As happens so often these days, I am once again awed by the timeliness of something I wrote more than a year ago. Only God can pull that off.

I have been off social media for exactly a month…again. Though I enjoy creating and connecting, I have always had an uneasy relationship with social media, but it’s de rigueur for a writer. So they tell me. Not to mention socially.

I am an introvert in disguise, more inclined than ever to obey the gentle prompts to unplug from anything that distracts me from God. He could lead me back into the fray anytime. Not to sound pious (too late, Isabella ;-), but I will go where He leads.

As I have been saying way more than anyone wants to hear, He is drawing us deeper into His sufficiency, so close that nothing can rattle or come between us. I am experimenting.

Next stop, YouTube. Yeesh. Hard.

If you have been toying with the idea of unplugging from social media, even just one channel, do it. Plug into the One who has all power instead.

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, peeps!
