The Eternal Palm

One of the things I have come to really appreciate is how profoundly rich the Word of God is. Even this little micro study on the history of the palm reveals so much; not just mere trivia, but deep insight that echoes the infinite mind and heart of God.

When I take the time to unpack a single verse, I am usually richly rewarded for my effort. It offers me an awe-inspiring and comforting glimpse into the depths of the Word.

Dwelling on this imagery of the King of the Universe riding into Jerusalem on a borrowed donkey and being greeted like a Roman champion is rich with meaning, too. Timely.

Jesus really turned the world on its head…and is again.

Of course, there are dishes to do and errands to run and Netflix to watch. Maybe in heaven I will have the corner of some heavenly library to geek out to my heart’s content. Actually, one of my near death experience subjects said there is something like that in heaven.

Or maybe infinite wisdom will be downloaded into my consciousness by Jesus Himself, as another NDE subject said. Then I can just enjoy this fullness as I fly around taking in the heavenly sites.
