I'm calling this a love letter, because that's the way I hope you experience it. If you've glimpsed yourself and/or feel despair, dread or fear, there's really, really Good News. Check it out.
Is one of your resolutions to grow in your faith or go to church more in 2021? Great decision! If you don't have a church, consider visiting mine: Harborside Christian Church. You can attend from the comfort of your living room.
We're starting the year with a church-wide fast and a series on the heart. Here's the first message. We're also reading through the foundational Gospel of John, the basis of the Love Letter Jesus video I posted above. Consider reading through it. It can change your life if you let it.
You can subscribe by clicking on the video link and subscribing to the Harborside Channel.
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

About the event
Description:
Even with many years of therapy, recovery, and vibrant faith, many of us still struggle with brief or prolonged bouts of fear. We may find that some fears resist our most diligent efforts, often undermining our peace, potential, joy, and usefulness.
Both raised in deeply dysfunctional alcoholic homes, Scott and Isabella draw on more than 50 years of combined experience in recovery, trauma therapy, and spirituality to help others. Scott and Isabella will share their own challenges in identifying and overcoming fear, including tools for coping with persistent fears in a healthier way. Topics include:
- Better understand fear and its impact.
- Inventory top fears and false stories.
- Discover new insight, tools and narratives.
Join us to start the year better equipped to face fear head-on.
